To all who read this page…… Farhana, at our request, kindly agreed to design an A Ray of Hope collection of jewellery. This is non profit making for either Farhana or A Ray of Hope but it is another very important aspect of what we do. The topaz stone represents our "ray" and the 6 strands symbolise the 6 schools that the original 60 children came from.

A Ray of Hope began life in 1996 as a choir and orchestra of 60 children and 10 teachers. It grows daily and now boasts a membership of over 210,000 worldwide of those caring and being cared for. Uniquely it is free from administrative costs so all support received is delivered complete to worthy recipients in the developing world. Currently there are 12 projects on 4 continents. The largest being the Kabbubu Library and Community Programme, Uganda : others include an orphanage in Nepal, specialist schools in Belarus, Somaliland Community and various cultural, environmental and peace promoting initiatives.

As of 15^{th November, 2005 - 912 schools, colleges and organisations in 58 countries have been assisted with goods and finances to the value of $7,609,824.}
